Celibacy

Single life; especially one bound by oath not to marry.

Sexual abstinence: A voluntary decision not to engage in sexual/genital relations of any kind. Abstinence may be lifelong as part pf a religious commitment to celibacy. Buddhist monks and Roman Catholic priests, and some religious women have practiced sexual abstinence. Muslims also practice sexual abstinence during daylight hours of Ramadan, the month of fasting.
