Fetishism
An obsession for an object. An unreasoning devotion and desire for an object worn by, associated with, or part of a person, which excites sexual passion. Such as love of shoes, long hair, etc.
Amputation fetishism is a type of fetishism in which sexual gratification depends on arousal by a partner with one or several amputations.
Anal fetishism: Sexual fixation on the anus instead of the genitalia. It may be passive, directed towards one's own anus, or active, directed towards another person's anus.
Auto fetishism: An extreme form of narcissism in which one's own body is adored, as a sexual obsession.
Beast fetishismis a type of fetishism in which sexual gratification depends on arousal by a partner by contacting with animal furs or skins, which cause an aphrodisiac effect producing peculiar and lustful emotions.
Foot fetishism: The use of the feet in achieving sexual excitement. The feet have been found to be sexually sensitive, and may constribute to arousal when they are stroked, or when the toes are used to stroke or massage the sex organs of another person. Foot fetishists can be turned on by the sight or thought of a foot.
Garter fetish: The garter as a fetish - a traditional symbol of sexuality. The garter was, for generations, a part of women's wedding garments.
Hard media: A term pertaining to the texture and sometimes the color of objects popular with fetishists. Hard media objects include leather, rubber, and plastic materials that tend to have a smooth, metallic look and which as garments are tightly fitting. A popular hard media color is black.
Leather fetish: An intense sexual preoccupation with articles of clothing made of leather, including jackets, boots, shoes or caps. Leather fetish represents supermasculinity, and is commonly used among male homosexual sadomasochists.
Non-sexual fetish: A fetish that involves a part of the body which is not directly related to sexual activity, such as the feet.
Sexual fetish: A fetish that involves part of the body associated with reproduction, such as the breasts or the genitals.
