A-frame orgasm: The uterine-centered orgasm in women that is believed to result from stimulation of the Grafenberg spot in the vaginal wall.
Afterglow: A colloquial term for the feelings of physical relaxation, emotional togetherness, and warmth that often follow orgasm as part of the resolution phase.
Blended orgasm: A combination of tenting orgasm resulting from clitoral stimulation and the A-frame (or uterine) orgasm resulting from stimulation of the vagina and Grafenberg spot.
Clitoral orgasm: An orgasm produced by direct stimulation of the clitoris and involving tenting of the uterus.
Dual orgasm: A psychoanalytic theory that the clitoris is the prime site of sexual excitement and orgasm in young women but that as psychosexual maturity is achieved, the site of sexual pleasure and orgasm shifts to the vaginal region.
Dry orgasm: A sexual disorder in which ejaculation does not occur in spite of adequate erection and stimulation.
First stage orgasm: The emission phase of male orgasm.
Inhibited orgasm: An APA term for psychosexual disorder involving persistent delay in or absence of orgasm after adequate sexual activity and a normal excitement phase.
Multiple orgasm: Having more than one orgasm in a brief space of time, without a refractory period.
Mutual orgasm: A sexual interaction in which both partners achieve orgasm simultaneously.
Sexual ecstasy: The peak of pleasure, excitement, and euphoria experienced at the moment of orgasm, or climax.
